The Kansas City Globe is an award-winning weekly community newspaper and has served the greater Kansas City metropolitan area since 1972 (five decades). It is solely owned by Jordon Communications Company, Inc.; Marion Jordon, Sr., president/CEO; Denise E. Jordon, vice-president/managing editor. It is a member of the Missouri Press Association and the National Newspaper Publishers Association.

GENERAL INFORMATION FOR ADVERTISING
1. Publication: Published every Thursday evening. Ad deadline: Tuesday noon.
Published online and sold in stores, on newsstands and by mail subscriptions. Also
distributed in churches on a complimentary basis. Political Rates: Same as Open, payable
in advance must have proper disclaimer.
2. Minimum Space: Four (4) column inches except classifieds (minimum space 1 col.
inch).
3. Agency Commissions. Available to all authorized agencies when properly submitted.
15% commission on open display rate.
4. Typographical Errors: The Kansas City Globe newspaper is not liable for any error
made in an advertisement to any greater extent than the cost of the space item occupied.
5. Electronically Transmitted Ads: The Kansas City Globe is not responsible for the
production quality of ads received through e-mail. It is also the responsibility of the
advertiser to ensure ads transmitted electronically to the newspaper have been received
prior to the advertising deadline if space has been reserved.
6. Accounts: Except for Political Ads which must be paid for in advance, all advertising
payments are due and payable 10 days following publication of advertisement. Accounts
more than 30 days past due will be charged 1.5% month handling charge. Credit and debit card payments accepted.

READERSHIP PROFILE:
At least 85 percent of The Kansas City Globe readers are 35 and up; 95 percent are
African-American and 50 percent attend church on a regular basis; 85 percent live in
the urban core (Kansas City, MO and Kansas City, KS); 15 percent live in suburbia.


TYPE OF MEDIA:
The Kansas City Globe is a weekly publication that was first established in 1972
serving the African-American community in both Kansas City, Missouri and Kansas City,
Kansas. It is published by Jordon Communications Company, and is a 100 percent-owned 
African-American family-owned business.  The Kansas City Globe is the second
oldest predominately African-American publication ever in existence in Kansas City
and its format is geared toward news that positively impacts readers with sections that
include news on the community, education and youth, health, business and automotive,
lifestyles, religion, food, opinions, employment, etc.
