Nearly 22,000 Kansans have been kicked off food assistance since the One Big Beautiful passed, thanks to Marshall

The Rev. Adam Hamilton toured Harvesters today to hear from local advocates about a surge in Kansans struggling to afford food and other household necessities since the passage of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act that was championed by Senator Roger Marshall. Recent reporting shows more than 10,000 Kansas children and 20,000 Kansans have lost food assistance because of his vote.

“Roger Marshall championed policies that yanked away food assistance from the mouths of hungry children and their families who are already struggling to pay for groceries,” Hamilton said. “We should be caring for the vulnerable rather than punishing them when they need help the most. Let’s focus on making sure people across Kansas can put food on the table to feed their families.”
