We stand united against hatred and violence in all its forms

The Kansas City Globe e-Edition

Dear Community,

Today’s attack at Temple Israel, a synagogue in Michigan, is deeply disturbing. While we are still learning the full details of what unfolded, the reports are heartbreaking and all too familiar for the Jewish community. Our thoughts are with the congregation, families, and first responders as details continue to emerge.

No community should have to live with the fear that houses of worship or places of learning could become targets of such senseless violence. Yet incidents like this remind us why vigilance, preparedness, and solidarity remain so important.

JCRB|AJC and the Jewish Federation of Kansas City will continue working alongside our partners, law enforcement, and community leaders to confront antisemitism, strengthen security, and support efforts that help keep our community safe.

While there are no specific threats to our community at this moment, we encourage community members to remain alert and vigilant and to immediately communicate anything suspicious or out of the ordinary with security officers and leadership. We are all responsible for one another and our collective safety and security.

We stand united against hatred and violence in all its forms.

Sincerely,

Neta Meltzer
