On Friday, July 9, at 2:30 p.m. local faith leaders joined by community activists will hold a press event at 7th Street & Minnesota Avenue to demand a Department of Justice investigation of the Kansas City, Kansas Police Department.
According to a spokesperson for the press conference, MORE2 was the first organization to demand that current Unified Government of Wyandotte County Mayor Alvey, call the Department of Justice and request an investigation of KCKPD, dating back to May of 2019.
