Local elected officials, business and community leaders, store officials and residents on Wednesday take part in the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new Price Chopper on Bannister Road in South Kansas City. Ball’s Food Stores on Wednesday, opened its new Price Chopper grocery store at 5665 Bannister Road, in Kansas City, Mo. The 8 a.m. official grand opening to the public followed a brief program outside that included introductions of local city and county officials and community leaders in attendance along with remarks from Ball’s Food Stores president David Ball and KCMO Mayor Quinton Lucas’ community liaison, Maurice Glover. The Ruskin dance team also performed as part of the ceremony.
