    The Kansas City Monarchs are set to play their home opener, May 18, against the Lincoln Saltdogs at 7 p.m. With a new name and a new owner, there is a ton of excitement for the fans and the franchise. Much of this excitement can be attributed to the team’s collaboration with the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum located in Kansas City’s historic 18th & Vine District.
