K.C. Globe’s Sports Columnist Chuck James Passes; Services Pending

The Kansas City Globe staff mourns the loss of its columnist Charles “Chuck” James, 80, who passed away Wednesday, July 29, 2020 at the home. Funeral services are entrusted to Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors and are pending.

“I and our readers always looked forward to the “Chuck’s Picks” every week. It greatly enhanced our newspaper. We are truly going to miss him,” said Denise Jordon, managing editor.

James is a retired executive of Kansas City Power & Light Company and is a former member of the board of trustees of the Metropolitan Community Colleges. More details on his life and community contributions will appear in next week’s issue.
