JC Nichols Parkway Renamed

Responding to protests throughout the nation following the brutal murder by a white Minneapolis police officer of unarmed black man, George Floyd that was documented in video footage of the incident as it occurred last month, city, county and state officials are moving quickly to meet demands for police reform and the removal of confederate flags, landmarks and statues that depict slave-owners or are reminiscent of the confederacy that existed prior to the end of the Civil War, and actions to eliminate other vestiges of systemic racism that have long existed in corporations and institutions that are offensive to various cultures and individuals.
