Hy-Vee, Inc. on Wednesday, July 22 announced that it has donated $50,000 to the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum (NLBM) in Kansas City, Missouri. The donation is part of Hy-Vee’s $1 million and one million volunteer-hour commitment to organizations that support racial unity and equality.

Hy-Vee has proudly supported the NLBM and been a presenting sponsor of its Hall of Game since 2014.

“As a longtime community partner to the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum, Hy-Vee is proud to support the museum with this additional donation to help advance its mission in sharing the history of African American baseball,” said Drew Holmes, senior vice president of Hy-Vee’s south region.
