HAPPY BIRTHDAY SATCHEL PAIGE!

The late Leroy “Satchel” Paige, a Kansas City baseball legend and one of the original K.C. Monarchs would have turned 115 Wednesday, but the actual date of his birth? Negro League Baseball President/CEO Bob Kendrick, in a tribute to Paige, tweeted this photo of Paige’s bronze statue that stands inside the NLBM located in the city’s historic 18th & Vine District and Kendrick captioned the photo with these words:

AGELESS WONDER: “How old would you be if you didn’t know how old you were?”—Satchel Paige.

“Happy 115th birthday to the immortal Leroy “Satchel” Paige! Or, is it his 125th? His age remains an age old mystery! His greatness is timeless!
