Former Kansas Citian Carol Abel Lewis Named Chair of Transportation Research Board

Dr. Carol Abel Lewis, with Kansas City roots, in a ceremonial passing of the gavel Wednesday, Jan. 11, became chairman of the Transportation Research Board (TRB). As such, she runs executive committee meetings and is charged with approving webinars and conference workshops. There are more than 140 committees submitting these requests. Her one-year term began Thursday, Jan. 12.
