UG Hosts Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for Four New Pickleball Courts

Kansas City, KS – The Unified Government Parks and Recreation Department (UG) is hosting a ribbon cutting ceremony for four new pickleball courts today (Thursday) at Wyandotte County Lake located at 3488 West Drive, KCK, 6610). 

Pickleball combines tennis and ping-pong with a wiffle ball and is a hot new sport for all ages and ability levels. The UG Parks and Recreation department originally began construction in 2022 on two courts, but later expanded construction to four courts at Wyandotte County Lake Park, one of the county’s most utilized parks. 

In addition to the ribbon cutting ceremony, a FREE pickleball clinic will take place from 2:30-3:30 p.m. for the first 16 players. Registration will take place on-site at the event.
