Mayor Lucas Appoints Deb Herman to KCATA Board

Kansas City Mayor Quinton Lucas on Tuesday announced the appointment of Deb Hermann to the Kansas City Area Transportation Authority (KCATA) Board of Commissioners. 

Hermann currently serves as chief executive officer of Northland Neighborhoods, Inc., a community development corporation serving Clay and Platte Counties. Since taking the helm in 2011, she has secured significant grant funding for home repair programs in underserved neighborhoods and worked collaboratively with municipalities throughout the Northland region. Prior to her current role, Hermann served two terms on the Kansas City Council from 2003 to 2011, including as chair of the Finance and Audit Committee.

Hermann's extensive public service includes chairing the Public Improvements Advisory Committee (PIAC) and the Port Authority of Kansas City. She previously served as a board member of the Clay County Children's Fund.
