Kansas City to Host Menorah Lighting at City Hall

City and Jewish community leaders gather in observance of Hanukkah

Kansas City will join Jewish community leaders for a Menorah lighting ceremony at City Hall on Monday, December 15, 2025, during the second night of Hanukkah (Hanukkah runs from sundown Dec. 14 through sundown Dec. 22, 2025).

The event will officially begin at 5:00 p.m., with remarks starting at 5:15 p.m. in Council Chambers, followed by the lighting of the Menorah.

Hanukkah is observed over eight nights; a candle is added each night on a nine-branched menorah.
